What You Need to Know

Am I an employee of ShiftBridges LLC?

No — you are a 1099 independent contractor, which means:

● You control your schedule

● You accept or decline work as you choose

● You operate under your own license and professional judgment

How do I get paid?

1. Submit your invoice/hours using the ShiftBridges LLC contractor form.

2. Once reviewed, payment is processed via direct deposit every Friday.

Do I need to track hours?

Yes — you track your own hours and submit them via the form. We do not use a time clock or punch-in system.

Do I need to submit an invoice?

Yes — either:

● Submit your own invoice file

● Fill out the form completely (we auto-generate the invoice from your answers)

● If your having issues with filling out the form, please send an invoice to

[email protected]

When will I get my 1099 form?

● If you earn more than $600 in a calendar year, we will send you a 1099-NEC by January 31st via email or mail.

● Make sure your W-9 and contact info are up to date.

What documents do I need to work?

● Valid nursing license

● W-9 form

● Vaccine and health documentation (MMR, Flu, Hep B, COVID if required)

● Background check approval

● Signed contractor agreement

Can I write off expenses?

Yes — as a 1099 contractor, you're considered self-employed. Speak with a tax advisor about:

● Scrubs/uniforms

● Mileage

● Licensing fees

● Insurance

Do I get PTO, sick days, or health benefits?

No. As an independent contractor, you're not eligible for employee benefits through ShiftBridges LLC.

Who do I report to?

You operate independently. If there's an issue at a facility, contact the assigned supervisor at your site/location directly. We are here to support, but we do not supervise your work.
